Scuba Diving: Protea Banks, a world famous shark dive site, situated just off Shelly Beach. Boats Launch from Small Craft Harbour.
Whale & Dolphin Viewing Trips: from Small Craft Harbour in Shelly Beach

Sardine Run: Once a year in June/July, the vast shoals of sardines appear. Not dubbed "The Greates Shoal on Earth" for nothing.
Deep Sea Fishing: Very popular in the area. Many different charter companies to choose from.

Pleasure Trips: from the harbour, many charters take out guests for a short trips to sea.
Uvongo Bird Park: Visit the Bird Park and see exotic and indigenous birds. A good outing for kids and adults

Crocodile Farm: Large croc farm in the nearby area. Crocodile feeding at 3.00pm every Sunday & Wednesday (in summer holidays)
Golf Courses: Many popular golf courses in the area - Southbroom, Wild Coast,  San Lameer, Margate and more

Paddle Boating: For the kids big and small paddle boating & canoeing on placid St. Mikes lagoon
 
Beaches: 5 Blue Flag on the lower South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal

Surfing: Point Break of St. Mikes is consistent and a well known spot in the surfing world.
Fishing: Various fishing spots on the South Coast; Margate Pier, Orange Rocks in Uvongo, Sandspit in Port Shepstone, etc.

Nature Reserves: Oribi Gorge and neighbouring Lake Eland - Large species of game and more than 350 bird species. 
Oribi Gorge Wild 5: Abseiling, white water rafting, wild swing, wild slide, hiking and bike trails.

Restaurants: A large variety of restaurants and take-aways to choose from in the area.
Pure Venom: The largest reptile farm in Africa. 

Shelly Centre:  incorporating restaurants, banks, a cinema complex for those rainy days and a variety of chain stores
Coffee Farms: Tours of these farms are both interesting and informative
